Super Eagles Departs for Burkina Faso today

The national team will leave for Ouagadougou two days to its crucial 2016 CHAN qualifier against the Stallions Nigeria will depart for their important 2016 African Nations Championship final round, second leg game against Burkina Faso today, two days before the game. The Fédération Burkinabé de Football had announced that the make or break game will hold on Saturday October 24, 2015. Goals from Bature Yaro and Gbolahan Salami gave the Eagles a 2-0 victory in the first leg played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Saturday. Coach Sunday Oliseh is expected to pick 18 players from the 23 in camp as they attempt to record a double against the west African side with strong indications that Sunshine Stars’ Tunde Adeniji likely to be dropped. Should Nigeria get a favourable in Ouagadougou, they will book a ticket to Rwanda 2016 where they will be making their second appearance at the biennial football showpiece. The Super Eagles finished third in their debut appearance in South Africa with Ejike Uzoenyi winning the best player’s award.
